His physical education teacher introduced him to the sport. He combined paddling and cross-country skiing for a while but eventually focused on paddling. "My brother trained very seriously [in paddling]. He is three years older, and it was nice seeing him coming home from warm cities with medals. On the contrary, I went skiing in cold cities with a large bag of things. I was more attracted to heat." |
