EARLY YEARS Her parents were initially against her taking up weightlifting. "Mum and dad were very afraid that I would not be able to have children. Telling them that with the right approach, barbell exercises are completely harmless, did not help to convince them. I had to disobey the will of my parents and go to training without permission.
