SIBLING RIVALRY
In 2014 his brother Adrian switched to the -94kg category, which meant the siblings began competing against each other. The pair both won medals at the 2014 European Championships in Tel Aviv, Israel, with Adrian taking gold and Tomasz winning silver. "I hope that this medal proves that I am not just Adrian's brother, and that I can win medals too. Weightlifting is an individual sport so during competitions we are rivals. But, obviously, I don't wish for my brother to fail and I think he silently supports me as well." (rmf24.pl, 13 Apr 2014)
